Your First Visit
| The purpose of your first visit is to determine whether orthodontic treatment is necessary. Allow about an hour for this visit. We will ask you to complete a medical and dental health history and a short questionnaire giving basic information for our files. We will also take photos and an x-ray. Dr. Kupiec will examine you and make treatment recommendations. Following this appointment, we will send your dentist a letter summarizing the result of this initial evaluation. If orthodontic treatment is indicated, we will present a summary of your treatment plan and answer any questions you may have. Finally, we will indicate the fee for your orthodontic treatment and establish arrangements for payment. We insist that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take. If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you an estimate of your benefits.
